- Elastic fibers
- This cartilage is similar to hyaline cartilage, but it contains many more elastic fibers .
- On most slides, the elastic fibers  stain with a darker stain so you can see the elastic network that is formed.
- Maintains the shape of a structure while allowing great flexibility
- Main locations include the auricle of external ear and epiglottis.
- Also found in the auditory tube and cuneiform cartilage of larynx.
